PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defibrillation electrode imposing a low load on a heart.SOLUTION: A defibrillation electrode includes an electrode unit for applying electric energy to a pericardial membrane and a heart, and a lead 13 for connecting the electrode unit to a defibrillator 51. The electrode unit has: a left ventricle electrode 4 which is arranged on a left ventricle side a left ventricle side electrode holder 8 which is insulative and flexible, has an opening 9 for exposing a part of the left ventricle electrode 4 and covers the other part of the left ventricle electrode 4 a right ventricle electrode 11 which is arranged on the right ventricle side and a right ventricle side electrode holder 12 which is insulative and flexible, has an opening 9 for exposing a part of the right ventricle electrode 11 and covers the other part of the right ventricle electrode 11.
