The method can include providing a dental laser station and a controller for controlling certain functions of the station. A graphical user interface can be used to provide input to the controller. The graphical user interface can include a control wheel with selectable segments and a menu navigation portion located adjacent the control wheel. Treatment categories, procedures or laser control options can be selected using the interface, and the interface can be updated based on data from the station.
