PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an absorptive article for monitoring the discharge state of a liquid material discharged from a discharge device.SOLUTION: The liquid material is applied to a sheet-like material being one of structural materials of the absorptive article in one step in the steps of producing the absorptive article. The method includes a step of directly applying the liquid material discharged from the discharge device to the sheet-like material running in one direction in a position separated by a predetermined distance from the discharge device.
