The invention relates to an algal granular composition comprising at least onealga, and at least one agrochemicallyacceptable excipients selected from one or more of surfactants, binders ordisintegrant having weight ratio of algae to at least one ofsurfactant, binder or disintegrant in the range of 99:1 to 1: 99. The algaecomprise 0.1% to 90% by weight of the total composition. Thecomposition has a particle size in the range of 0.1 microns to 60 microns.Furthermore, the invention relates to a process of 10 preparingthe algal granular composition comprising at least one alga and at least oneagrochemically acceptable excipient. The invention furtherrelates to a method of treating the plants, seeds, crops, plant propagationmaterial, locus, parts thereof or the soil with the algal granularcomposition.
