The invention relates to a method for producing an osteoinductive calcium phosphate material, the method comprising the steps of providing a sintered calcium phosphate starting material having a surface topography consisting of calcium phosphate grains, subjecting the sintered calcium phosphate starting material to a hydrothermal treatment of between 125-150°C for a duration sufficient to change calcium phosphate grains on the surface of the starting material into calcium phosphate needles.La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un matériau à base de phosphate de calcium ostéo-inductif. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à fournir un matériau de départ à base de phosphate de calcium fritté possédant une topographie de surface composée de grains de phosphate de calcium, à soumettre le matériau de départ à base de phosphate de calcium fritté à un traitement hydrothermique compris entre 125 °C et 150 °C pendant une durée suffisante pour changer les grains de phosphate de calcium à la surface du matériau de départ en aiguilles de phosphate de calcium.
