Mixture obtained by a process comprising: (a) adding a culture comprising sprouted rye grains and water to a rye flour or rye meal, heating, initiating the formation of a strong maltose from enzymatic reactions; (b) further adding rye flour or rye meal, water and a bacteriological inoculum including heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria; (c) acidifying the mixture until the metabolic activity of the microorganisms ceases, and optionally pasteurizing; and (d) separating the mixture by centrifugation into a solution, precipitating, and optionally filtering the solution, is claimed. Mixture obtained by a process comprising: (a) adding a culture comprising sprouted rye grains and water to a rye flour or rye meal, subjecting the mixture to heating at 30-34[deg] C for 3-5 hours, initiating the formation of a strong maltose from enzymatic reactions; (b) further adding rye flour or rye meal, water and a bacteriological inoculum including heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria; (c) acidifying the mixture until the metabolic activity of the microorganisms ceases, and optionally pasteurizing at 90-95[deg] C; and (d) separating the mixture by centrifugation into a solution, precipitating, and optionally filtering the solution at least once, is claimed. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a drug comprising the mixture; and (2) preparing the mixture by the above mentioned method.
