PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraoral scope for observing a state in a root canal and also a state in a periodontal pocket.
SOLUTION: The intraoral scope includes: a hand piece 10 and a chip 20 insertably connected to the hand piece 10. The hand piece 10 includes a light source 12. The chip 20 includes: a light guide 21 for receiving light from the light source 12, guiding the received light to the distal end of the chip, and radiating the light forward from the distal end of the chip and an image guide 22 for transmitting the image of the root canal which is illuminated by the light from the light guide 21. The hand piece 10 also includes an imaging means 14 for imaging the image transmitted through the image guide 22. The chip 20 is constituted of a guide tube 24 where the light guide 21 and the image guide 22 are put through. The distal end of the guide tube 24 is inserted to the root canal, and then, the state in the root canal is transmitted to the hand piece 20 through the image guide 22.
