PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus which allows presence/absence of residue of a contrast medium to be easily determined and an image processing system.SOLUTION: In an X-ray diagnostic apparatus, an emphasis image generation part generates each emphasis image in which an area where a contrast medium remains is emphasized by using a reference frame in which the contrast medium is flown away in a specific area of an analyte to whom the contrast medium is administered and an inverse order frame continuously followed by the reference frame in time series among multiple frames in which the specific area is imaged in time series. A system control part causes a display part to continuously display the emphasis images after the reference frame.【課題】造影剤の残留の有無を容易に判定することを可能にするＸ線診断装置及び画像処理装置を提供すること。【解決手段】実施の形態のＸ線診断装置においては、強調画像生成部は、造影剤が投与された被検体の所定の領域が時系列に沿って撮影された複数のフレームのうち、所定の領域において造影剤が流れきった基準フレームと、基準フレームに連続して時系列上前に並ぶ逆順フレームとを用いて、造影剤が残留した領域を強調させた強調画像を生成する。そして、システム制御部は、基準フレームの後に強調画像を連続して表示部にて表示させる。【選択図】図４
