PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small animal breeding device and a shield frame, enabling suppression of scattering of excrement of a small animal or a floor bedding material from a breeding cage and suppression of the breeding environment contamination, and allowing for reduction of labor and expenses for disinfection and cleaning work of the excrement of the small animal or the floor bedding material scattered from the breeding cage.SOLUTION: The shield frame includes: a shield frame 6 for shielding a breeding cage for breeding a small animal and an air outlet 8 exhausting atmosphere in a space formed by a breeding cage 2 surrounded by the shield frame 6. The small animal breeding device includes: a breeding cage 2 breeding the small animal a breeding rack 4 including a shelf board 10 for placing the breeding cage 2 thereon and an attachable/detachable shield frame 6 for shielding the breeding cage 2 placed on the shelf board 10.
