PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelet aggregation inhibitor using specific water-soluble elastin.
SOLUTION: It has been found that the water-soluble elastin derived from fish and/or an elastin peptide derived from fish has better platelet aggregation inhibiting activity as compared with water-soluble elastin derived from mammalian and/or a peptide obtained therefrom. It is expected that the water-soluble elastin derived from fish and/or the elastin peptide derived from fish serves as a platelet aggregation inhibitor containing it as an active ingredient.
