PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of preventing flexion of a guide wire in treating a peripheral region and not degrading operatability when changing catheters.SOLUTION: A shaft for a guide wire is formed separating into a first shaft 13 for the guide wire and a second shaft 14 for the guide wire, the guide wire 20 is passed through these guide wire shafts, a distance L between a rear end opening part of the first shaft 13 and rear end opening part of the second shaft 14 is set such a distance that flexion is not generated in a catheter shaft 11 when moving the catheter shaft 11 along the guide wire 20 with the first shaft 13 protruding from a front end opening part of a guide device 30 and with the guide wire 20 passed through the first shaft 13 and the second shaft.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】末梢領域の治療等におけるガイドワイヤの撓みを防止でき、かつ、カテーテル交換時の操作性を損なわないバルーンカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】ガイドワイヤ用シャフトは、ガイドワイヤ用第1シャフト13とガイドワイヤ用第2シャフト14とに分離されて形成されており、ガイドワイヤ20は、これらのガイドワイヤ用シャフトに挿通される。第1シャフト13の後端側開口部と第2シャフト14の後端側開口部との間の距離Lは、第1シャフト13がガイドデバイス30の先端側開口部から突出しており、かつ、ガイドワイヤ20が第1シャフト13及び第2シャフトに挿通されている状態で、カテーテルシャフト11をガイドワイヤ20に沿って移動させた場合に、カテーテルシャフト11に撓みが生じないような距離に設定されている。【選択図】図1
