Front and rear waist regions (2, 3) of a disposable pull-on diaper are respectively of an elastically non-stretchable exterior sheet (32) and elastically stretchable interior sheets (33). In lateral elastic regions (22) of this waist region, the interior sheets (33) are attached under tension to an interior surface of the exterior sheet (32) and, in a central inelastic region (21), the interior sheets (33) are spaced apart from each other in a transverse direction (B) and regions of the interior sheets (33) are in an elastically contracted and relaxed state in vicinities of the lateral elastic regions (22).
