A method for coating a medical device comprising the steps of:receive a medical device andis applied with a uniform coating thickness in the range from about 1 micron to about 12 microns, at least a portion of the surface of the medical device, wherein the coating comprises a homogeneous functionalized organopolysiloxane and vinyl polydimethylsiloxane.2. The method of claim 1, wherein applying a uniform coating on the surface of the medical device comprises coating with a thickness ranging from about 1 micron to about 3.5 micron.3. The method of claim 1, wherein the medical device surface comprises a primer coating comprising silicone.4. The method of claim 1, wherein the medical device is made from one of the following materials: tungsten alloy, refractory alloy, stainless steel, nitinol and tantalum.5. The method of claim 1, wherein the medical device is made of tungsten-rhenium alloy.6. The method of claim 1, wherein the coating comprises a homogeneous coating of uniform coating material supply in a solvent with a high vapor pressure and low boiling point at the surface of the medical device.7. The method of claim 6, wherein the solvent with a high vapor pressure and low boiling point solvent is a hydrofluoroether.8. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining includes obtaining the medical device an elongated medical device having a tissue penetrating portion.9. The method of claim 1, wherein the coating comprises a homogeneous coating of uniform spray coating on the surface of the medical device.10. The method of claim 1, further comprising curing of a homogeneous coating on the surface of the medical device within a time ranging from about 10 seconds to about 30 seconds.11. The coated device comprising:a substrate,wherein at least a portion of the coated substrate, comprising an organopolysiloxane and a vinyl functionalized polydimethylsiloxane.12.
