The absorbent article (1) is also characterized in that in that each of the center region (CR) pair of flap parts (5, 9) includes a portion at which the width-direction (W) distance (k1, k2) between an outer edge (41, 42) thereof and a side edge (15, 16) of the absorption core (106) is longer than the width-direction (W) distance (k1', k2') between the side edge (15, 16) of the absorption core (106) and a long-direction center line (LC) and in that each of the flap parts (5, 9) comprises an elastic member (33, 35) that expands in the long direction (L) and contracts in the long direction (L).
