The present invention is directed to a method of making a drug delivery device having a body comprising a siloxane-based elastomer and at least one active agent. The method includes applying an adhesive material comprising a non-cured siloxane-based elastomer to a contact portion of the body, and curing the adhesive material by exposing the adhesive material to radiant energy from the laser source.
