An assembly for a drug delivery device (1) is described comprising at least one drive member (19, 26) adapted and arranged to be moved in a delivery direction during a dose delivery operation of the assembly and in a direction opposite to the delivery direction during a dose setting operation of the assembly, an energy storing member (16) adapted and arranged to store energy and to cause movement of the drive member (19, 26) in the delivery direction, and an interaction system adapted and arranged to generate a friction onto the drive member (19, 26), wherein an amount of friction regulates a speed of movement of the drive member (19, 26) when drive member (19, 26) is moved in the delivery direction. Furthermore, a drug delivery device comprising the assembly is described.
