In addition, the balloon catheter pressurizes a rectal part corresponding to prostate and makes the rectal wall adhere to prostate when treating prostate cancer by radiation to fix the position of prostate, thereby increasing radiation therapy effects. A principle for increasing radiation therapy effects by expanding a balloon and fixing the corresponding part can be applied to colorectal cancer and carcinoma of small intestine.본 발명에 따른 풍선 카테타는 직장암을 방사선으로 치료할 때, 암이 위치한 부위를 팽창시켜 팽팽하게 펴고 고정함으로써 방사선 치료가 효과적으로 이루어지도록 한다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 풍선 카테타는 전립선암을 방사선으로 치료할 때, 전립선과 대응되는 직장 부분을 가압하여 직장벽이 전립선에 밀착되도록 하여 전립선의 위치를 고정함으로써 방사선 치료 효과를 높인다. 아울러, 풍선을 팽창시켜 해당 부분을 고정하여 방사선 치료 효율을 높이는 본 발명의 원리는 대장암과 소장암 등에도 적용될 수 있다.
