A method for sanitizing an electric motor is provided. The method includes setting operational parameters for the electric motor for destroying targeted microbes； and energizing the electric motor using the set operational parameters. In particular, the method involves the step of heating the housing of the electric motor to a temperature at which the targeted microbes will be destroyed and/or the step of vibrating the motor housing at frequencies at which the targeted microbes will be destroyed.Se proporciona un método para desinfectar un motor eléctrico.
