The present invention relates, in part, to a biocompatible hydrophobic-corecarrier comprising a carrier, and a plurality of hydrophobic groups covalentlylinked to the polymeric carrier. The hydrophobic groups are capable ofdissociably linking load molecules such as therapeutic agents.
