A compound that targets RNA capable of binding to a repeat RNA motif, said compound comprising a peptoid polymer backbone having a repeating structure -C (O) -N-CH2- represented by the formula [- C (O) -N-CH2-] z where z is an integer greater than or equal to 2, and two or more hanging RNA binding ligands, wherein said two or more hanging RNA binding ligands are bound to some or all of said nitrogen atoms of the peptoid polymer backbone and those nitrogen atoms in the peptoid polymer backbone that are not bound to pendant RNA binding ligands are substituted with alkyl or aryl groups that may or may not be substituted , and wherein said two or more hanging RNA binding ligands are the same or different and are selected from aminoglycoside and bisbenzimidazole sugars, in which each of said two or more hanging RNA binding ligands binds to a motif of I repeated n RNA triplet repeat tetra or motif of RNA.Un compuesto que se dirige a ARN capaz de unirse a un motivo de repetición de ARN, comprendiendo dicho compuesto una cadena principal de polímero peptoide que tiene una estructura que se repite -C(O)-N-CH2- representada por la fórmula [-C(O)-N-CH2-]z donde z es un número entero mayor o igual a 2, y dos o más ligandos de unión a ARN colgantes, en donde dichos dos o más ligandos de unión a ARN colgantes están unidos a algunos o todos de dichos átomos de nitrógeno de la cadena principal de polímero peptoide y esos átomos de nitrógeno en la cadena principal de polímero peptoide que no están unidos a ligandos de unión a ARN colgantes están sustituidos con grupos alquilo o arilo que pueden estar sustituidos o no, y en el que dichos dos o más ligandos de unión a ARN colgantes son iguales o diferentes y se seleccionan de azúcares aminoglucósidos y bisbencimidazoles, en el que cada uno de dichos dos o más ligandos de unión a ARN colgantes se unen a un motivo de repetición triplete de ARN o motivo de tetra repetición de ARN.
