The invention refers to an encapsulation device (30) for use with a drug delivery device (10) comprising a housing (11) containing a syringe (24), wherein the encapsulation device (30) comprises at least:- a body (31),- a cap (32), whereinthe body (31) has an inner surface forming a cavity configured to retain an end of an outer surface of the housing (11) of the drug delivery device (10) andthe cap (32) has an inner surface forming a cavity configured to retain the opposite end of the drug delivery device (10) and,in an assembled state of the encapsulation device (30), the cap (32) and the body (31) are releasably interconnected with each other to encapsulate the drug delivery device (10).
