This method is designed to produce a sheet-like member to which an elastic member (35) is attached by inserting an elastic member continuous body (35a) between a pair of facing surfaces of sheet-like member continuous bodies which are continuous in the direction of conveyance, and then cutting the continuous bodies. The method comprises: a fixing step of fixing the elastic member continuous body in a stretched state to the facing surfaces via an adhesive (BD); a forming step of forming joining parts (j) in which the pair of facing surfaces are joined; and a cutting step of cutting the sheet-like member continuous bodies and the elastic member continuous body, thereby providing the sheet-like member and the elastic member. In the fixing step, parts (35ae) of the elastic member continuous body which correspond to end parts (35e) of the elastic member are fixed to the facing surfaces via the adhesive. In the forming step, the joining parts are formed on both sides of the elastic member continuous body in the CD direction.
