The present invention relates to a method for increasing resistance to plant disease using rice-derived OsWRKY67-inducible resistance gene 1 (OsWIR1), and to a plant thereby. According to the present invention, by inserting the gene derived from mutant rice into an expression vector for plant transformation and overexpressing the gene, it is possible to promote growth by increasing resistance to rice blast disease of the plant, resulting in an increase in yield. Therefore, the method can be effectively applied in promoting a new variety.본 발명은 벼 유래 OsWIR1(OsWRKY67-inducible resistance gene1)을 이용한 식물의 병 저항성을 증가시키는 방법 및 그에 따른 식물체에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따르면, 돌연변이 벼 유래의 상기 유전자를 식물 형질전환용 발현벡터에 삽입하여 과발현시킴으로써 식물체의 도열병에 대하여 저항성을 증진시켜 생육을 촉진하고, 결과적으로 수확량 증대효과를 가져올 수 있으므로, 신품종의 육성에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
