[PROBLEMS] To improve the efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and convenience of self-diagnosis of respiratory function of a human who is susceptible to infection, particularly monitoring of the maximum expiratory flow for managing asthma. A chronic disease of asthma requires a self-diagnosis of human respiratory function that is susceptible to infection. However, conventional devices that can perform the necessary measurements have the disadvantage of being inaccurate or effective or bulky and difficult to handle. The present invention provides a small and inexpensive spirometer for measuring respiratory characteristics efficiently, accurately and conveniently.
