PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide further human tear lipocalin mutein having high binding affinity to IL-4 receptor &alpha；.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to novel mutein derived from human tear lipocalin, which binds IL-4 receptor &alpha；. Sequence of the mutein includes a combination of specific amino acid. Particularly, mutated amino acid residue exists at one or more of sequence positions of 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 53, 57, 61, 64, 66, 80, 83, 104 to 106 and 108 of linear polypeptide of mature human tear lipocalin. Further, the mutated amino acid residue exists at sequence positions of two or more of sequence positions of 26, 32, 34, 55, 56, 58 and 63 of a linear polypeptide sequence of the mature human tear lipocalin.
