Protective effects of Johntee extract to ameliorate the damaging effect of toxic chemical carbon tetra chloride (CC14) were studied in rats. Carbon tetra chloride when given intra peritoneal as acute dose produced severe damage to the liver. The damage was minimized by the oral administration of Johntee extracts. This also prevented morphological changes induced in the liver by Carbon Tetra Chloride administration. The protective effect of Johntee shows concentration of alkaline phosphates, SGPT, SGOT level decrease in the serum and liver than the control group.
