The present invention relates to lactic acid bacteria strains with the ability to tolerate antiseptics. The lactic acid bacteria strains have further the capacity to antagonize the growth of oral pathogens. Particularly, the lactic acid bacteria having these features belong to Pediococcus genus, more particularly to Pediococcus acidilactici species. Thus, the strains of the present invention are useful for compositions and products in the field of personal care, and 10 particularly, for oral care, as well as, for pharmaceutical products.La présente invention concerne des souches de bactéries lactiques ayant la capacité de tolérer des antiseptiques. Les souches de bactéries lactiques ont en outre la capacité d'inhiber la croissance d'agents pathogènes oraux. En particulier, les bactéries lactiques ayant ces caractéristiques appartiennent au genre Pediococcus, plus particulièrement à l'espèce Pediococcus acidilactici. Ainsi, les souches de la présente invention sont utiles pour des compositions et des produits dans le domaine des soins personnels, et, en particulier, pour des soins buccaux, ainsi que pour des produits pharmaceutiques.
