A foot support device/orthotic 110 (for use by diabetic individuals) comprises a support 114 for, in use, engaging a wearer of the support device (e.g. engaging the wearers leg or shin), a boot 101 comprising a sole and an upper and an offloading element 112 coupled to the support and coupled to the boot. The offloading element comprises a stem portion (112a, Fig 6) and a base portion (112c, Fig 6), wherein the base portion comprises (i) only a mid-foot portion, (ii) only a mid-foot portion and a heel portion, or (iii) only a mid-foot portion and a toe potion. A blood flow stimulating device in the form of a sock (11, Fig 1a) with an inflatable bladder (19, Fig 2) disposed within the boot may also provided.
