PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating chronic heart failure patients using a medication comprising neuregulin.SOLUTION: The method comprises first performing a companion diagnostic test of each patient before treatment by determining the plasma level of the N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) or BNP； or evaluating with the cardiac function classification according to New York Heart Association (NYHA)； and then providing a suitable treatment to the patient when the patient is classified in NYHA class II and according to the result of the companion diagnostic test judging from the plasma level of NT-proBNP or BNP. When the result of the test is within a favorite treatment zone, the patient is suitable for heart failure treatment by administering an effective amount of neuregulin.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】ニューレグリンを含む薬剤を使用した慢性心不全患者の治療法の提供。【解決手段】治療前にまず各患者のコンパニオン診断テストを行い、ニューヨーク心臓協会（ＭＹＨＡ）の心臓機能分類で評価し、亦、Ｎ末端プロ脳性ナトリウム利尿ペプチド（ＮＴ－ｐｒｏＢＮＰ）又はＢＮＰの血漿レベルを測定し、ＮＹＨＡクラスＩＩであり、ＮＴ－ｐｒｏＢＮＰの血漿レベルから判断して、そのコンパニオン診断テスト結果に従って各患者に適した治療を行う方法。テスト結果が治療に好ましい治療域内にある場合、その患者は有効量のニューレグリン投与による心不全治療を行う方法。【選択図】なし
