Remote control 100 may form a communication network by linking with fishing appliances 200 as they appear within a range of the remote control 100. Remote control 100 may enable calling or messaging other remote controls 100. Remote control 100 may communicate with an ancillary fishing accessory 300,400 coupled to: fishing appliance 200 through a port； remote control 100 through a port. The port may comprise a physical coupling with two electrical connections.
