ABSTRACT The present application relates to reduction of particle size of pharmaceutical material/ drugs (API) using innovative crystallization process. It is always a challenge to reduce the size of pharmaceutical products which are being used for making of tablet, syrup and etc. Using cavitation based innovative crystallization process it is possible to reduce the particle size below 20 micrometer for D (90) using particle size analyzer.The reported methodology and equipment is cost effective and flexible to reduction of particle size of different APIs. The developed process will replace the use of the high expensive equipments like pulverizer, micronizerand other equipmets like ball mill, fluid energy mill etc. and hence it has commercial viability. The invention also describes the reduced operating cost for a pharmaceutical material (APIs).
