A medical device comprising: a catheter, a compressed hollow metal structure attached to a catheter, the metal structure, when expanded, contains one segment having a wall with an inner surface forming a cavity and an outer surface with an opening defined by a wall that allows passage fluid into the cavity, the cavity of the metal structure and the cavity of the catheter can be connected by a fluid, and the passage of fluid from the catheter into the cavity of the metal structure leads to its expansion. 2. The medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that the shape of the expanded metal structure is rounded. The medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wall of the metal structure contains a material selected from the group consisting of gold, platinum, silver, their alloys and their combinations. The medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that the metal structure has an expanded diameter in the range from about 2 mm to about 20 mm. The medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that the metal structure has a wall thickness in the range from about 3 microns to about 60 microns. The medical device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wall of the metal structure contains an outer layer. The medical device according to claim 6, characterized in that the outer layer contains a porous material to form a porous outer layer. The medical device according to claim 7, characterized in that the porous outer layer has a thickness in the range between about 1 μm and about 59 μm.
