PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately identify a body-inserted implement in use on the basis of the position and three-dimensional shape of a marker for position and posture detection measured in a three-dimensional shape measuring apparatus without attaching a new marker, in a surgery support system using the three-dimensional shape measuring apparatus for measuring the three-dimensional surface shape of a patient.
SOLUTION: The surgery support system is provided with a three-dimensional shape measuring means for measuring the three-dimensional surface shape of a patient, two or more kinds of body-inserted implements to be inserted into the body of the patient, and a control means. The body-inserted implement 36 has a plurality of markers 37 whose position and three-dimensional shape can be measured in the three-dimensional shape measuring means, and at least one of the inter-marker relative position and three-dimensional shape of the markers of the body-inserted implement is different for each body-inserted implement. On the basis of the position and three-dimensional shape of the marker of the body-insertion implement measured in the three-dimensional shape measuring means, the position and posture of the body-inserted implement are calculated and the kind of the body-inserted implement is identified.
