PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter with excellent operability, for which requested characteristics such as a push-in property, torque transmission property, bending resistance and followability to a guide wire are balanced at a high level, and to provide a manufacturing method of the catheter.SOLUTION: In a catheter manufacturing method including a cylindrical first resin layer and a cylindrical second resin layer provided so as to cover the periphery of the first resin layer, the total of the thicknesses of the first resin layer and the second resin layer is practically fixed in the catheter, and the ratio of the thickness of the first resin layer and the thickness of the second resin layer varies at a prescribed interval.
