PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of reducing skin trouble such as the eczema, sudamina, and rash by quickly transferring absorbed perspiration to a surface not facing a skin and preventing the perspiration from returning to the skin.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1 according to the present invention includes abdominal-side waist flaps FA and back-side waist flaps FB. Each back-side waist flap FB includes an outer layer sheet 4, an inner layer sheet 6, and a joining part 8 for joining the outer layer sheet 4 and the inner layer sheet 6. The outer layer sheet 4 has a hydrophilic property, while the inner layer sheet 6 has a hydrophobic property. At a peripheral part 8R of the joining part 8, hydrophobic fibers 61 constituting the inner layer sheet 6 enter gaps between hydrophilic fibers 41 constituting the outer layer sheet 4, and the hydrophilic fibers 41 constituting the outer layer sheet 4 enter gaps between the hydrophobic fibers 61 constituting the inner layer sheet 6.
