The machine i.e. harvesting or tilling machine (2), has a working aggregate (3) driven by a drive (5) for implementing an agricultural function. The working aggregate is subjected by a varying load such as crop material and soil hardness during operation of the machine. A control device (7) controls the drive of the working aggregate depending on an external load. The drive comprises an electric motor (6). The control device has a detector (20) for detecting operating parameters of the electric motor and a self-learning regulator (22) for regulating the drive by using the detected parameters.
