An electrosurgical device comprising: (a) a case； (b) an end effector comprising: (i) a first jaw, and (ii) a second jaw, wherein the first jaw may be movable to the second jaw to clamp tissue between the first and second branches, wherein at least one of the branches contains at least one electrode, and at least one electrode may function to supply RF energy to the tissue sandwiched between the first and second branches； (c ) a cutting element designed to cut the fabric sandwiched between the first and second jaws； (d) a drive element which allows to selectively actuate the cutting element； and (e) a rod extending between the housing and the end effector, wherein the rod forms a longitudinal axis, the rod including a hinge portion that can function to selectively position the end effector in non-parallel positions with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod, the housing comprising a control mechanism allowing selectively actuating the hinge part. 2. The electrosurgical device according to claim 1, in which the drive element is connected to a control mechanism, so that the control mechanism is capable of causing the drive element to actuate the cutting element, and the control mechanism can selectively actuate the hinge part. The electrosurgical device according to claim 2, in which the housing includes a handle, the handle forming a first axis that is not parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rod, and the control mechanism can move to and from the first axis so that the drive element drives the cutting element�1.
