Described is a cutting device (1) preferably for cutting plants or the like by cutting wires (F1； F2； F3； F4), which can be used in the context of an agricultural machine configured to clear weeds from areas and in particular in the context of an agricultural machine configured to clear weds from areas interposed respectively between several pairs of successive rows, or in general interposed respectively between several pairs of successive elements, such as demarcation points or milestones. A cutting device (1) according to this invention allows a flexibility and an ease of use of the cutting device (1) which is considerably improved with respect to the cutting devices currently known for agricultural machinery aimed at clearing weeds from areas.
