An intraocular lens (1) having a lens (3) comprising: - a main part (4) of the lens having a main surface (4 ') of the lens and a main optical axis (5) defining radial directions , tangential and axial； and - a recessed part (6, 7) having a recess surface (6 ', 7') and extending between said main optical axis (5) and a circumference (2) of said lens (3), said said comprising lowered part (6, 7) a secondary part (6) of the lens with a secondary surface (6 ') of the lens having a positive relative optical power with respect to the optical power of said main surface (4') of the lens, said main lens surface extending in a radial direction outward, towards an outer circumference section (4a) of the main lens away from said main optical axis (5), said outer circumference section (4a) defining the main lens and said main surface (4 ') of the lens: - an imaginary section (4') of the main surface of the lens that would have been part of said main surface (4 ') of the lens if said lowered part (6, 7) would have been absent, being lowered to said recess surface (6 ', 7') with respect to said imaginary section (4 ') of the main surface of the lens, characterized in that said outer circumference section (4a) of the main lens and said main surface (4 ') of the lens, furthermore, defines - an imaginary section of outer circumference (4a') of the main lens that would have provided, at least partially, an outer circumference of the main lens together with said outer circumference section (4a) of the main lens in case said recessed part (6, 7) had been absent, essentially said imaginary section of outer circumference (4a ') of the main lens and said imaginary surface (4') of the main lens being symmetrically speculate with respect to a plane of symmetry comprising said main optical axis (5), essentially said imaginary section of outer circumference (4a ') of the main lens and said s an imaginary surface (4 ') of the main lens on one side of said plane of symmetry with mirror images o
