The stereoscopic optical system (10) comprises a left optical channel (12), a right optical channel (14) and an electromagnetic actuator (16) with a stator (18) and a rotor (20). Optical components of the left optical channel (12) are arranged in a left guide tube (26) and optical components of the right optical channel (14) are arranged in a separate right guide tube (28). The rotor comprises a left rotor (22), in which at least one optical component of the left optical channel (12) is received, and a right rotor (24), in which at least one optical component of the right optical channel (14) is received.
