The present invention relates to a wrist wearable blood pressure monitor which is portable at ordinary times since it is mounted to a wrist. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the wrist-wearable blood pressure monitor includes a wrist strap； and a display unit installed on the wrist strap to be attached to the wrist by the strap, and displaying the blood pressure of a wearer. The wrist strap comprises: a base strap including the display unit； an airbag installed on the base strap to pressurize the wrist； and a pumping chamber installed on the base strap with the airbag, supplying air to the airbag by being contracted by external pressure, and inhaling external air by being expanded by its elasticity. According to the present invention, since the blood pressure monitor is regularly worn like a watch, blood pressure is conveniently measured by consecutive motions of one hand in case of necessity, and the pumping chamber to fill the airbag inhales its elasticity, and therefore, a mechanic/electronic device such as a motor or pump to fill the airbag is not necessary, the structure becomes simple, and manufacturing costs are saved.본 발명은 손목에 착용되어 상시 휴대 가능한 휴대형 손목 혈압계를 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 휴대형 손목 혈압계는: 손목 스트랩(Wrist Strap)； 그리고 상기 손목 스트랩에 구비되어 상기 손목 스트랩에 의해 상기 손목에 피착되며, 착용자의 혈압을 표시하는 디스플레이 유닛을 포함하여 구성된다. 그리고, 상기 손목 스트랩은； 상기 디스플레이 유닛이 탑재되는 베이스 스트랩； 상기 손목을 가압하도록 상기 베이스 스트랩에 구비되는 에어백； 그리고 상기 에어백과 함께 상기 베이스 스트랩에 구비되며, 외압에 의해 수축되면서 상기 에어백에 공기를 공급하고, 자체 탄성에 의해 팽창해서 외부 공기를 흡입하는 펌핑 챔버를 포함하여 구성된다. 본 발명에 의하면, 혈압계를 손목시계처럼 상시 착용하여 필요할 때마다 한손의 연속 동작으로 편리하게 혈압을 측정할 수 있으며, 에어백 충진을 위한 펌핑 챔버가 자체 탄성력에 의해 공기를 흡입하므로, 에어백 충진을 위한 펌프나 모터 등의 기계/전자 장치가 필요없고 구조적으로 단순화될 수 있으며, 제조비용이 절감될 수 있다.
