A reclining and standing mechanism of a wheelchair assembly is provided. The wheelchair assembly includes a frame (102), a hydraulic jack (104), a lead screw (108) a lever (112), a chassis (114) and a plurality of wheels (116). The frame (102) includes (a) a lying frame, (b) a seat plate and (c) a leg frame. The frame (102) is adapted to operate the wheelchair assembly in at least one of (i) a wheelchair mode, (ii) a bed structure mode or (iii) a standing mode. The hydraulic jack (104) is operated to change height of the seat plate to a desired height in the wheelchair mode. The lead screw (108) is operated to operate the wheelchair assembly in the standing mode in a predefined angle. The lever (112) that is coupled to said lying frame and the leg frame. The lever (112) is operated to convert the wheelchair assembly from the wheelchair mode to the bed structured mode.
