The device consists of a projection (2) which is fitted along the wall (1) at the height to which the plants are to be allowed to grow. The projection has a concave under-surface to deflect the tips of the plants and an outer edge (5) which acts as a guide for a cutter. The device can be made in the form of a plastics or metal extrusion with a concave under-surface, and made with an outer edge in the form of an open channel. Its upper surface (10) slopes downwards away from the wall to prevent debris from collecting on it.The underside of the device can be equipped with separators set at regular intervals. ADVANTAGE - Simple, efficient and economical, preventing climbing plants from growing onto a roof.
