A position capturing device for tooth implants in the mouth of a patient, having multiple position capturing units which each comprise an elongated transfer post with a shank, a tooth implant interface and a bore for receiving a tooth implant screw, a carrier unit for connecting the multiple position capturing units together in order to fix the position thereof with respect to one another. The carrier unit comprises at least one carrier element and at least two fixing elements. Each fixing element comprises a fastening element for the pivotable and lockable attachment on the carrier element and a shank-receiving element for the releasable fastening on the shank of the transfer post. The shank-receiving element and the fastening element are connected together so as to be rotatable and the distance between the shank-receiving elements with respect to one another is adjustable.
