PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a top sheet does not give sticky feeling and remains dry after absorbing menstrual blood of high viscosity in the conventional type absorbent article having the top sheet to which an uneven shape is not imparted.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article which includes a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorber between the liquid-permeable top sheet and the liquid-impermeable back sheet, the liquid-permeable top sheet has a thickness of 0.10 to 0.30 mm and basis weight of 5 to 30 g/mat an excretory opening abutting area. The liquid-permeable top sheet contains a blood modifier on a skin abutment surface of the excretory opening abutting area, and the blood modifier is a polyoxypropylene glycol-based compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
