The device (1) has front wheels (4a, 4b) and rear wheels (5a, 5b) rotatably mounted on a frame (3) via axes of front bearings (6a, 6b) and rear bearings (7a, 7b) and defining a maximum obstruction path (Vmax) that is formed between the wheels. Multiple plant cutting blades (8a-8c) are rotatably mounted in relation to the frame. Electrical drive motors (9a-9e) drive the respective blades. A power supply unit (10) i.e. battery, supplies power to the motors. The bearing axes are arranged to each other at minimal distance (Dist) that is lower than that of the maximum obstruction path.
