This invention is directed to methods and compositions for improving cognition or rejuvenating the brain of an individual using an active combination of at least one phospholipid and at least one substance selected from the group clonsisting of a ginseng, green tea, catechin, ginsenoside, essential fatty acid, and combinations thereof. The present invention is further directed to methods and compositions for treating a neurodegenerative disease or neurological disorder in a patient using an active combination of at least one phospholipid and at least one substance selected from the group consisting of a ginseng, green tea, catechin, ginsenoside, essential fatty acid, and combinations thereof.
