The present invention relates to an isocentric magnetic resonance imaging method for an open magnetic resonance imaging device for displaying a wide image area by correcting geometric distortion using an image stitching algorithm capable of synthesizing undistorted images acquired at the isocenter of magnetism. The open magnetic resonance imaging device given in the present invention includes: a magnetic field unit which includes a pair of MR stimulus line units, a pair of gradient coil units, a pair of RF coil units, and a pair of receiving coil units facing each other from the top and the bottom of a recording space a data acquisition unit which acquires an MR receiving signal received by the receiving coil units in a digital data format a data processing unit which processes the MR receiving signal received from the data acquisition unit to expand the area of interest and obtain a cross-sectional image without distortion in position data and size data.
