A method for making a lawn mower deck is disclosed, which method comprises providinga sheet blank (9) of a mouldable material, forming in a housing portion of saidsheet blank (9) a housing (2) for a cutter, cutting the sheet blank in a one-pieceshape comprising the housing portion and a protruding portion (3), bending theprotruding portion (3), so as to bring an attachment portion (5) of said protrudingportion (3) in contact with said housing (2), and fastening said attachment portion(5) to said housing (2). Also disclosed is a lawn mower deck, comprising a housing(2) for a cutter, and a protruding portion (3), which protruding portion (3) isbent such that an attachment portion (5) thereof is in contact with said housing(2), wherein said attachment portion (5) is fastened to said housing (2), andwherein said housing (2) and said protruding portion (3) are formed in one piece.
