PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a composition routinely usable and suppressing deterioration in skin conditions accompanying neovascularization accelerated by ultraviolet exposure, particularly, the formation of winkles.SOLUTION: There is provided a composition for suppressing neovascularization accelerated by ultraviolet exposure including one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of D-methionine and its derivative and/or salt. There is a case in which the ultraviolet being UV-B. There is a case in which the neovascularization is suppressed by the increased expression of thrombospondin (THBS) and/or the decreased expression of a vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF). There is a case in which the composition is a skin care preparation, a cosmetic, a wrinkle inhibitor, a drug for skin diseases and food.【課題】日常的に使用でき、紫外線曝露によって促進される血管新生をともなう皮膚状態の悪化、特にシワ形成を抑制するための組成物を開発する。【解決手段】本発明は、Ｄ－メチオニンと、その誘導体及び／又は塩とからなる群から選択される１種類又は２種類以上の化合物を含む、紫外線曝露によって促進される血管新生を抑制するための組成物を提供する。前記紫外線はＵＶ－Ｂの場合がある。前記血管新生は、トロンボスポンジン（ＴＨＢＳ）の発現増大、及び／又は、血管内皮細胞増殖因子（ＶＥＧＦ）の発現低下によって抑制される場合がある。前記組成物は、皮膚外用剤と、化粧品と、シワ抑制剤と、皮膚疾患用医薬品と、食品との場合がある。【選択図】なし
